Wipster is looking for a Copywriter + Content Manager to join our Portland, Oregon-based Marketing team.

As the Content Manager at Wipster, you will be the expert in all things communications and copywriting. First and foremost, you should love writing and the process of asking questions and understanding subjectmatter so that you can write clearly and human.
You will be the go-to person for messaging, positioning, and tone, and will help product launches and marketing campaigns find their ‘story.’ Your verbal and written communication is human and you should enjoy working alongside colleagues to learn the essence of the topic or initiative at hand. You have an eye for writing that is clear (and without marketing jargon), human, and helps customers and prospects connect with the Wipster brand.
You are an advocate for value-based content and can continue Wipster’s expert thought leadership in the video software industry. You understand all things digital and are comfortable communicating online to customers, writing for websites and software, and are highly proficient at picking up and understanding online tools.
Skills and Responsibilities:
Own content strategy across blogs, website, email, marketing automation, and social media
Disseminate Wipster’s tone and messaging across the company and work with the CEO and marketing leadership team on high-level vision and messaging ideas and the essence and values of the brand
Oversee content for product launches and copywrite for multiple digital assets, including the website, and having a knack for an ideal user-experience when it comes to reading and understanding content
Understanding of SEO/SEM and how that filters into content writing across the website
Be the ‘Go-To’ person across the company for support and copyediting in company communications
Research various industries (ie: finance, media, agency, retail etc.) and adapt content so that it speaks to industry-specific use cases and challenges
Manage a small team of international freelance writers to produce blog content, including copyediting and rewriting where necessary
Plan and execute blog content schedules for coming quarters, and upload and publishing blog content each week
Research and curate content for Wipster Weekly — a weekly eNewsletter well-known in the industry for valuable video content insights (a combination of Wipster blogs and related site content)
Produce sales enablement support documents to help the sales team communicate successfully with their prospects
Ability to adapt easily between professional messaging tones in certain areas of the business (e.g. sales materials), to more casual messaging in social media and community.
Knowledge of video content, video marketing, and filmmaking is a plus
Experience with Squarespace, social media curation software (Sprout Social), and Marketing Automation software (Autopilot) and is preferred
